What read-only roles mean
On Starter, roles past your 10 stay visible and keep their history. You just can’t edit them.
What you can and can’t do
- You can open a read-only role and see everything: its people, pay, questions and history.
- You can’t edit it, move its stage or use AI on it. Its page says “Read-only on Starter.”
Make a role editable again
- Choose which roles stay editable.Open Settings, then Plan, and choose the roles to keep in your 10.
- Or free up a slot.Close a role that ended, or archive one you’re done with. Then choose the read-only role in its place.
- Or choose Pro.Pro has no limit on roles in progress.
Why it works this way
- Starter is free, and keeping 10 interview-stage roles editable covers most searches. Nothing is ever deleted to enforce it.
If something’s off
- A role you chose is still read-only. Check that you chose Confirm selection. Until you confirm, roles you haven’t chosen stay read-only.
